Information on ISA Helmsman Nomination process for 2009
Class Association Events
This year it has been decided by the Class Association Committee that all of the Class Association events for Unos and Uno Pluses will be scored as one fleet, with NO
handicap system.
Changing fleets during an event will only be allowed with the prior approval of the race committee. Boats that are allowed to change fleet during an event will be scored as a new entrant to the event.
Changing of crew during an event will only be allowed with the prior approval of the race committee. Permission will only be given to change crew during an event if they are of similar weight.
ISA Junior Helmsman Nomination
To be eligble for nomination to the ISA Junior Helmsman Competition :
- All competitors must be under 19 years of age.
- All Helms compete in the National Championships and at least one Regional Event
- An Uno Plus must have a Helm and crew under 19 years of age
- An Uno Plus must not significantly change the weight of the crew used for each qualifying event
The nominations will be decided using the score of the helm in the Nationals and their best score in a regional event
The result of the Nationals will be used to break any tie in results
The decision of the Class Association Committee on nominations will be final
